What a conference

"Inspirational."  "Well planned."  "Great speakers."  "A good mix of topics and interests" 

 

As the official programme came to an end, and little clusters of people gathered, chatted, exchanged details and wandered off the share lunch together, NACSA sighed.  The Conference is over, and on reflection, fulfilled its primary objective of creating connections and supporting relationships.

 

Special thanks to the young entrepreneurs from Eskom Expo for Young Scientists: Tina, Terry-Lee and Amy.  You were the "stars" at our conference

 

Mariette Liefferink received an award from NACSA.  The award is in recognition of the efforts of ordinary people who make an extraordinary effort for the environment

 

NACSA thanks every delegate for their interest, participation and ongoing support.

Aardvark Provincial Award 2008

Award for best Performing Province

This kind of initiative has an important impact as an incentive to the provincial civil society groups facilitating and leveraging land owner investment into biodiversity conservation. Each and every Province has done outstanding work to promote community conservation in South Africa, leading to more focus on biodiversity.

Franci Hossack Councilor for Sedibeng Regional Council and Midvaal Council handed the awards to the winning provinces at the NACSSA AGM held in November 2008 at the Malonjeni Game Lodge
